Tom and Dawn Allen make the wooden horses, besides working with "real" horses for our "day jobs".
Most of the horses we make are "glider" or "platform rocker" horses, so there are no curved rocker parts capable of smashing toes on the floor. (The rocker/glider mechanisms are up inside the body of the horses, and therefore difficult to reach, but it is still recommended to supervise children and teach them not to reach into areas where injury could occur.)
We make horses of wood for children of all ages to enjoy for many generations. They come in many different sizes and colors, and can be made to look like your favorite "real" horse, but a lot easier to take care of. A few of the horses are shown below.

The big beast in the photo above is a Pegasus Unicorn Glider, and is mounted on glider hardware, just like porch glider for adults to use, and can be enjoyed by all sizes and weights of children and adults (even together, if not too thick in the middle).
